- Intended outcomes are shared and revisited at appropriate points in the lesson.
- Intended outcomes are specific enough so that learning can be evaluated.
- Possible misconceptions are identified, and planning shows how the teacher will prevent these forming.
- Activities are planned to create desirable challenge, getting students to think hard.
- There is planned common core content, with overlearning or extension opportunities available beyond this.
